Vension Bacon Breakfast Sandwich with Cream Cheese

I guess a good healthy habit is to get your fat and carbs incorporated into the first meal of the day, so you have energy during the day. (I'm no nutrition expert, talk to your medical provider or dietician for real diet advice.) One way to do that is with a venison bacon breakfast sandwich with cream cheese. I have never put cream cheese on a breakfast sandwhich before, but if you're like me, once you do, your life will be changed.


  • Toast two slices of bread.

  • Spread 1 Tbsp of 1/3 reduced fat cream cheese on each piece of bread.

  • Top with 3 slices of pre-cooked venison bacon.

  • Add a scrambled egg. Quick tip for making the perfect "breakfast sandwhich egg": Crack the egg in a small bowl. Scramble with a fork (add a bit of milk, if desired). Cook for 30 seconds in the microwave. Flip it over using a spatula. Cook for another 30 seconds or until done.

Hot tip: Make the venison bacon in advance. When you're cooking breakfast for the family the previous day, or dinner the night before. I saved 9 pieces of venison bacon in a ziploc bag in the fridge and had myself three delicious breakfast sandwiches that week.
