Bacon Bits - on Salad, on Mac & Cheese

Three reasons for selecting/making this meal:


1) We have a TON of venison bacon in the freezer still and Hubby is already planning his first white tail hunt for the first week of September, so we need to eat bacon AND make room in the freezer for more deer.


2) The garden is producing! We have fresh cucumbers, green beans and snap peas, so it’s time to use them! Combined with lettuce from Costco and/or my mother-in-law, we have salads for days!


3) We just got back from a week of vacation and had VERY little in the fridge. Mac & cheese it is! We didn’t even have milk, so just used a little extra butter and some water. Turned out great. Extra butter is always good.
