Bean & Meat Burritos

Okay, so it doesn't look like much, but this happens to be the recipe next to the lasagna recipe in the 101 Things To Do With A Slow Cooker cookbook. I had never made it before, but tonight was the night. And my 6yo rated it "The Best Meal Ever!"


-Brown 1lb ground venison

-Sauté onions & mushrooms

-Put the meat/veggies in the slow cooker

-Add 2 cans refried beans

-Add 1 can (8oz) tomato sauce

-Add 1 packets taco seasoning

-Add 1/3c water


Cool on high ~2 hrs or low for 4-6 hours...or until everything is hot and you're "starving" which apparently my kids are at all times. :)


Serve on tortillas, with toppings of choice (cheese, green pepper, tomatoes, olives, salsa, sour cream, etc).
