Egg, Sausage & Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Hubby is out of town (he’s the usual breakfast maker), so I was left to my own devices to feed the kids. Using what we had on hand as the criteria for choosing a recipe, I found this one for an egg, sausage and cheese breakfast casserole and just adapted to fit my needs. I used three slices of bread, 1lb maple venison sausage, added onions, 6 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1/2tsp salt and skipped the mustard. I also used waaayyyyy less cheese than called for, but did sprinkle it across the top. Baked at 350°F for about 30min til the eggs were cooked through. I usually like my egg dishes with ketchup, but this was delicious on its own and even more yummy with real maple syrup!
