Sloppy joes (ie sloppy does) we’re on the menu last night but my kids reallllly wanted tacos. To appease all, I had my sloppy joe on a hamburger bun (like one would normally do), and my kids had theirs on tortillas, complete with all the taco-toppings (tomatoes, cheese, peppers, and most importantly, sour cream). It was a hit all around.
This sloppy joe recipe was one pound of ground venison, plus all the veggies I had. Onions, mushrooms and a shredded carrot went in first with the meat, then the celery and peppers (I like to keep those slightly crunchy for sloppy joes). Add a can of sloppy joe sauce (or make your own!) and voila!
